President

·         Manage overall objectives and strategies of the PTA

·         Act as a liaison between parents and principal/staff

·         Assist in recruiting of PTA Committee Chairs

·         Create agendas and facilitate monthly PTA meetings and board meetings

·         Represent local PTA as a delegate to Council PTA

·         Authorized to sign on bank accounts

·         Serve as ex-officio member of the all committees except nominating and audit

·         Appoint audit committee subject to exec committee approval

·         Appoint Parliamentarian and Historian subject to approval of newly elected officers

·         Other duties and projects as necessary and desired.

 

First Vice President - Programs& School Clubs

   Recruit and support committee chairs for key RRDG programs including:

·           Chess Club

                       ·           Lego Clubs
 

·           Math Pentathalon

·           Reflections Art Showcase

·           Running Rattlers

·           Spanish Program

·           Watch D.O.G.S

Second Vice President - Family  & Community Events

Recruit and support committee chairs for school and community events such as:

·           Clothes Closet

·           Family Picnic

·           Field Day

·           Fun Run

·           Garden

·           Holiday Giving Tree

·           International Day

·           Veteran's Day

·           5th Grade Graduation 

Third Vice President – Membership

 Recruit and support committee chairs for committees including:

·           Hospitality

·           Teacher & Staff Appreciation

Fourth Vice President – Fundraising
 

Recruit and support committee chairs for committees including:

·         Book Fair

·         Box Tops

·         RATTLERFEST

·         Recreate Spring Gala

·         Spirit Gear

·         Yearbook   

Secretary:

·         Record the minutes of all meetings

·         Keep an accurate record of attendance at executive board meetings;

·         Maintain a list of Local PTA officers who have completed the Texas PTA Leader Orientation

·         Maintain the records retention and conflict of interest policy 

Treasurer:

·         Has custody of all funds of the association in accordance with Article VI, section 2 of bylaws

·         Pay bills and reimbursements as requested

·         Prepare and present budget at each PTA meeting and the annual meeting

·         Oversee ongoing PTA finances and act as a signer on the bank account

·         Complete and file tax documents; and present books to the audit committee as requested.
