International Day
International Day at River Ridge provides parents an opportunity to showcase their countries to the students. They provide a brief presentation about the country including the language, school system, some important holidays, food and currency. We provide a light breakfast and a lunch for the presenters as a thank you for volunteering their time. The students travel around with their classes to view various countries.

Math Pentathalon
An after school club where kids play interactive, problem-solving games that strengthen basic math concepts, develop problem solving skills, and stimulate creative thinking.  Students can compete against other schools in the Spring.

An after-school running club designed to encourage overall physical health and goal setting for children grades K-5. It is staffed by parent volunteers.

Reflections Art Showcase
Reflections is a nationwide program that provides students with a creative outlet in the areas of dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography and visual arts. Positive recognition is the focus of this program, rather than competition. Students submit their art at the end of October to be evaluated and results are typically back by January.

The volunteer Spanish Program is all about giving elementary students exposure to another language during their early learning years. There’s no homework, tests, or grading. Just fun with Spanish!  Lessons are offered in K-3rd grade classrooms 30-minutes per week with the help of parent volunteers.
